Whether you’re looking to dance the night away or for an intimate rooftop bar scene—H street has you covered. Here are our three favorite spots on H Street for a night out:
H Street Country Club:
Don’t let the name fool you—this isn’t your parents’ stuffy Country Club. Spend five minutes inside of this establishment and it’ll be no surprise as to why this place is one of H Street’s most popular spots. From the assortment of ciders and hard seltzers on tap to the endless variety of bar games (everything from Skeeball to life-size Jenga), H Street Country Club has all of the trappings of a successful night out. Venture up to the 2nd floor where you’ll find an indoor Washingtonian-themed indoor mini-golf course. Not feeling bar games? No worries; head up to the rooftop bar and enjoy the fresh Spring night air while catching up with your friends!
Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar:
Located on 11th and H Street, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for this location as it has no sign (just look for the purple building beaconing purple light and music). What makes this spot an H street mainstay is that you can choose your own adventure: a calmer dive bar experience on the first floor, or head up to the second floor to shake it on the dance floor to one of DC’s many local DJs. Whichever adventure you choose– Little Miss Whiskey’s has it all!
Bar Elena:
Located on 4th and H Street, this neighborhood favorite is known for its large rotating draft beer selection, cocktails which frequently feature local distilleries, and fun takes on bar food. What makes Bar Elena must-visit during your night out is their TWO Happy Hours every day (5-7pm and 10-11pm). If you’re looking for the perfect ending to your “Sunday Funday”, join Trivia King for trivia night every Sunday at 6pm.
