Avec on H participates in the District of Columbia’s Inclusionary Zoning (IZ) Program, which provides affordable rental housing opportunities for income-qualified households.
A select number of apartment homes are reserved for households that meet the income requirements established annually by the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). These homes are offered across a variety of floor plans, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, subject to availability. All Inclusionary Zoning apartments at Avec on H are designated at the 80% Median Family Income (MFI) level. Because income limits and program requirements are updated annually by DHCD, applicants should always verify the most current eligibility information before applying.

How to Apply
The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) administers the Inclusionary Zoning Program through a lottery system.
To be considered for an IZ apartment, you must:
- 1. Register for the Inclusionary Zoning Program with DHCD.
- 2.Complete the required IZ Orientation.
- 3. Maintain an active registration with current household information.
When an apartment that matches your household size and eligibility becomes available, DHCD will notify eligible applicants. Priority is generally provided to households that live or work in the District of Columbia.
