Meet Avec’s new Assistant Property Manager, Chris Glover. Chris is here to assist with any questions you have about your resident account as well as assist the rest of the Avec team in making us the premiere community to live at in the H Street neighborhood. We wanted to help you get to know Chris as he settles in to his new role here at Avec, so we asking him some questions about his favorite hobbies as well as his favorite parts about our community and the H Street neighborhood!
How did you end up in DC?
I was born and raised in Maryland and wanted a change, while still being a close distance to family.
What made you want to come work at Avec?
Avec on H offered me an opportunity to grow professionally and a chance to get involved in a new part of D.C.
When you’re not working at Avec, where can we find you?
This is me in the Dominican Republic!
On a flight! I love to travel–my favorite place I’ve been to is Australia. The Dominican Republic was also great!
What are you Netflix-binging on right now?
Forever and always will be binging Schitt’s Creek.
If you were to work from home, which Avec space would you choose?
I love the sun/outdoors, so you’d definitely find me up on the rooftop.
When you want to unwind at the end of the day, where do you go?
HOME… to bed or the couch. On weekdays I am a home body.
How would you work on your wellness/fitness at Avec?
The Peloton bikes, I love that Avec has many to offer.
How do you think life at Avec allows residents to thrive?
Convenience is key and every morning I NEED coffee to survive!!! I love how Avec has Starbucks coffee on tap every morning!
Where is your favorite spot to grab lunch in the neighborhood?
This is by far the hardest question, as I love food. I am so happy there are multiple food options within walking distance. I am currently on a health kick; so, Cava and Whole Foods is where I’ll be. I love a Lentil Avocado bowl from Cava and the definitely the hot bar at Whole Foods. Anything with avocados is delicious.
Where do you head for happy hour in Washington DC?
Service Bar on U street is my favorite place! The food and drinks are AMAZING!
